Lelo Nazario | keyboard player, electronic sounds

Among the most respected and accomplished musicians of our time, Lelo is the creator of a unique musical style based on a singular fusion of avant-garde languages and traditional forms.

He created Grupo Um and played with Hermeto Pascoal and Pau Brasil. Formed Symmetric Ensemble, Duo Nazario, and Percussonica trio. Founded the Utopia Studio, and released five solo albums, in addition to many others with his groups. He won (with Marlui Miranda) the award for best original score for the movie Hans Staden at the Brasília Film Festival. In 2007 and 2008, Lelo was featured among the top five best musicians by Annual Jazz Station Poll – The Best Jazz.

Lelo’s music, which includes works for piano, orchestra and a variety of instrumental groups, as well as electroacoustic compositions and musical works for film, theater, and dance, has been performed on concerts and festivals both within Brazil and internationally.




Zé Eduardo Nazario | drummer, percussionist


Considered to be one of the most talented and important drummers in the country, Zé Eduardo works actively in the Brazilian and international music scene, playing on recordings and concerts as well as delivering courses and workshops.

He joined the bands of Hermeto Pascoal and Egberto Gismonti. Formed Grupo Um, Duo Nazario, and Percussonica trio. With Pau Brasil group, he recorded Babel, for which received the Sharp award and a Grammy nomination. He has taken part in numerous recordings.

Zé Eduardo has been behind the kit for more than 40 years, working with great names such as Milton Nascimento, John McLaughlin, Joe Zawinul, and Meeta Ravindra. With guitar player John Stein, he recorded four albums in the United States. He released two solo albums, Poema da Gota Serena (1982) and ZEN (1998).
